This piece of promotional material was commissioned by an Austin, TX director for a music video.
She gave me some inspirational material and I got to work illustrating this great cover, drumming up much warranted hype for the production.
Fantabulous Harley Quinn
Tasked with illustrating, inking, and coloring a comic book cover, I chose to illustrate my favorite comic book character of all time - Harley Quinn.
I thought having her perform silks would call back to her gymnastics skills, plus it adds a bit of whimsy. I’d read this issue.
The Sandman, Issue No.24
This is what I interpreted as page 4 (left) and page 23 (right) of this issue based off of the script from the writer. I did not use the original comic book illustrations as reference, so these frames are purely derived from the writer.
The task was to pencil out our interprestations of the pages we were assigned, thus this page was born.
